Future of Hutt Transport: Survey Time!
If you live in the Hutt, make sure you have your say by completing this actually quite fun survey to help inform future transport decisions. Survey closes 4th June.
Interested in the future of transport in Hutt City? Hutt City Council has just kicked off a survey to inform the development of an integrated transport strategy.
This seems like a worthwhile endeavour, especially given the myriad of projects planned for the Hutt, and the pressures driving a need for change in how people get around. We hope this is able to help identify what is needed to move Hutt City to a more sustainable future, and enable transport decisions that are more future focused. However, to ensure that happens it’s important that as many people like you get their views out there as possible before 4th June.
The survey tool itself is pretty neat. It allows you to plot out your journeys on a map and identify the things that are good and not so good about it, and what could be done better (if for example you don’t cycle because it’s unsafe, but otherwise would, then make sure you tell them about it!).
If you find the survey too difficult or it’s playing up on your device (as often seems to happen), it looks as though you can simply provide written feedback, or you can even do both if you want to.
So, if you live or work in the Hutt, don’t pass on this opportunity to get your own experiences down on paper, complete the survey, and tell the powers that be what places and issues matter to you when getting around.
