Toitū he Kāinga / Making Home
What is home? A roof maybe; but also a place for feeling safe, feeling you belong, that you can make your own. This event (Friday) is pretty timely, given “home” in our cities and Aotearoa-NZ right now…
How do we make our home here? What makes a good kāinga today?
Please join Ngā Aho, Papa Pounamu and Te Kāhui Whaihanga / NZ Institute of Architects for this free and public talk on the theme of kāinga/home.
Kāinga suggests that the fundamental role of designers and planners is to support the making of home: in both tangible and intangible ways.
Talking to this kaupapa will be our featured kaikōrero/speakers:
- Reuben Friend (Facilitator)
- Kara Puketapu Dentice
- Deputy Mayor Jill Day
- Jahmayne Robin-Middleton
- Jade Wikaira
THIS FRIDAY 6-7.30pm at the Wellington City Gallery (Civic Square)
