Friday updates!
“And then what happened?” we often hear from people who’ve read one of our posts. So here are some updates.
Planning For Growth: now one more week to have your say!
As you’ll know it’s worth a submission on Wellington City’s growth strategy, Planning For Growth, because it’s one of the top two ways we’ll make it easier or harder for ourselves to have good lives and be good people. (The other is the District Plan.)
You’ve now an extra week to make a submission! Closing date now 17th May.
Cohousing guru’s talk: it’s just like being there!
We posted about this great sounding talk with insights from Berlin, where they do cohousing really rather well. (Massive housing envy.) ICYMI, here’s the recording. Also worth checking out our post, as we’ve got more tipoffs from readers in the comments.
Apartments you want to live and play in
More cohousing goodness, inner city this time: The Urban Habitat Collective (featured in the DomPost) invite you to come hear what it’s all about, and see if you’d like to live there.
“Urban Habitat Collective have bought 139 Adelaide Road for our new vertical village and we’re cracking into the design phase. We are excited to announce that we have space in our group for new members. Come along to the upstairs room at Thistle Hall to hear more about the apartments and community we’re collectively working to build. Have your questions answered and find out if our project could be your new home. Children are welcome!
Join us afterwards for afternoon tea and a chat with the members of our group.”Sunday, 19 May 2019 from 15:00-16:30, upstairs at the Thistle Hall.
